Home Barbershop Fencing Theater Family School Stuff Future Goals My Hero

  1. School: I intend to graduate with at least a 3.6 GPA. As per college, I'm currently torn between videogame programming/design and a performing arts major. I've considered M.I.T. and Westminster as possible top college choices. I intend to finish eight honors courses and at least 3 AP before I graduate. Choir all four years is a must for me. As per the rest, it's up to fate to decide.

  1. Job: I currently work for $16 an hour, so I'm pretty happy. Assuming I last long enough to get discovered by a talent scout in Broadway or Hollywood or something else amazing, I won't let a single chance slip by. I'll train, press, and work my butt off. Videogame designers make an awesome amount of money too, but the hours scare the living daylights out of me. (Company of choice: Nintendo!) Oh well, life is a carnival.

  1. General Stuff: I want a house big enough to support a wife and two kids. It would be nice to not have to go too far from them when I have to work. I'll lead a quiet life and take care of those important to me. I hope not to get a cavity EVER! Finally, I just want to survive getting my wisdom teeth removed and the crazy state you get left with after the surgery is done.

As per my web design...

I don’t yet have any specific goals for future web design. Originally, I was thinking I could propose an arts program page to my school for my final project, but my teacher said I had very little chance of having that come to fruition. I have a dream of being a videogame designer or programmer, so this class has taught me about how much time coding can take and how high a standard my work needs to be at before I publish any of it. If I get good enough at this though, I suppose web design wouldn’t be a bad career choice. Assuming my intro to tech class (3D animation/video game animation) goes well, I’ll continue along that branch. If not, then on to advanced web design class I go. While I know I can have fun with web design, it’s not my goal, but I’d be more than happy to fall back on it. I can only imagine working for clients though. I don’t have the mental capacity to work on any single project for more than an hour or two a day, so I would need multiple clients at the same time in order to get anywhere. Business sites would end up boring me before too long. Schools probably wouldn’t be too much better either. Charities, clubs, leadership groups, etc…those are the people I’d likely have the most fun designing for. Maybe if I become an extreme nerd in the near future, I’ll become an expert hacker and work for the government. I laugh when I think about it. Unless one of the lovely circumstances above comes to exist, web design is not in my prioritized future.
